Jalal is submissive, obedient, and loyal...the perfect pack member, but how did he become this way? It all started a long time back, when he was barely more a snip of a pup...
The storm had broken over the land and the rain lashed the earth with great intensity. Three young adults, Preston, Galvin, and Rue, were out, huddled underneath a fallen log, their eyes wide. Had it only been yesterday when they had forsaken the safety of the pack? It had seem ages ago in the storm.
Preston was smitten on Rue, but Galvin also liked her. Their two families weren't on the friendliest of terms, and both of them had taken the rules imposed to heart.
A sudden rumbling filled the area, and all three were jerked out of the stupor. Crashing over the earth, a huge wave of water washed over the area, washing all three away.
Rue had managed to snag onto a tree hanging over the flooded area. She turned, spotting Galvin and Preston on another area. Before her very eyes, the flash of lightning illuminated Preston's smiling face and Galvin's terror stricken look as he tumbled into the foaming waters.
The next day, the pack found them shivering together. Rue would not speak of what had happened, denying it because of her love for them both. Little did she know that Galvin still lived in the pups she would soon bear.
Rue became Preston's mate soon after the incident. She did not tell Preston that they weren't his pups until they were born. In a great rage, Preston swore to kill all traces of Galvin and murdered all of the pups, except for one, who became known as Jalal.
The young Alsatian mother managed to stun Preston long enough by hurling him into a rock for her to pick Jalal up and ran.
Rue and Jalal travel away from their homeland, hounded by Preston. There was this instance where Preston actually caught up and forced Rue, but luckily, Jalal was not there. Rue did not tell, but as soon as Preston left, she ran.
The two managed to arrive that the land of Pendan, where they assimilated into the society quickly. Rue is still carrying Preston's pups...
